Lonely Nights

Sun: Do you love me?
Night Sky: Yes.
Sun: But how do you know? What's love?
Night Sky: I don't really know what it is.
Sun: Then how can you tell that you love me?
Night Sky: Because I just know it.
Sun: What do you mean?
Night Sky: When I look at you I see everything, and that's all I need. I love you without understanding love.
Sun: Oh... I don't see that.

(Sun turns around and walks away)

  1. Uhm. I don't really understand this poem. What are you trying to say?

  2. Same. ^

I understand that the feelings between the sun and night sky aren't mutual, but I'm confused as to what your trying to express in the night sky's feelings.

  3. Well he loves her, he's young and unexperienced so he doesn't really understand the engineering of love but he recognizes it. The sun on the other hand doesn't know weather she's just blindfolded or if it really isn't there, she's unsure, that's why she asked the question in the first place.

  4. Oh, I sorta see it.

What's the significance in the characters being the night sky and sun? Opposites? This really interested me

  5. Umm... to tell you the truth I just kind of like using nature to explain human emotions so I thought "Sun" because it seems so feminine to me, only I didn't want to do the moon because I see the moons character female as well but I still wanted to make them opposite so I did night sky because it was more masculine.

  6. Actually the moon in my brain is masculine. Because i'm pretty sure that the shinto moon god is a guy.
Also. I'm still not getting the "Bigger picture". sorry.
