Sijo Poem: Moon Above
Moon Above
Moon above in the black sky, how lonely be;
Were there none to comfort thee, I beg on high;
Bless him kind for he loveth me, he treats me like I’m the stars.
No, I didn't, I did read some of the examples the website provided to get an idea how it would sound read aloud. I found that I really enjoy the meter in sijo poetry; very short, but punctual.
Great piece...did you read any other sijo for inspiration?
